Daddy's Love

I felt his love in many ways,

He was there through all my days.

His strong hands with a gentle touch,

Through the years taught me so much.

Showed me right when I'd done wrong,

With understanding he made me strong.

Daddy always knew what to do,

No matter what you were going through.

His love for me was full of pride,

His arms were always open wide.

Daddy's love always sheltered me,

His love also set me free.

When I made the wrong choice,

Love was still in Daddy's voice.

The words from his heart were true,

When he said I'm proud of you.

Daddy's love will always be,

A very important part of me!

 Grandma Guards Us

Love was sent from heaven

Upon the wings of an Angel.

Planted like seeds in a garden

In hearts of special people.

Grandma gathered us together,

And taught us to care.

To prove love lives forever,

Enough for all to share.

Grandma knew what was best,

And worked hard everyday.

She barely even stopped to rest

Trying to avoid delay.

Grandma’s spirit was so strong

She wanted to pass it on.

Grandma gave us a place to belong,

And even though those days are gone,

We’re blessed with the spirit

She gave us with her love.

And now we must not forget

She guards us from above.

 Heaven’s Gate

In the arms of Angels someone leaves.

Here on earth someone grieves.

In just moments from now,

A beautiful mystery somehow,

Someone stands at heavens gate,

Filled with happiness as they wait.

No more pain nor tears,

Only treasured memories of their years.

Down here we’re holding on,

We can’t accept they’re gone.

Weeping as we call their name,

Our lives will never be the same.

Someone stands at the gate to heaven,

As tragedy struck our world again.

In time we’ll begin to understand,

The Angels took our loved one’s hand.

They softly whispered God is love,

And He’s waiting up above.

God’s love has called for them,

To heaven’s gate to meet him.

They’ll enter heaven’s gate together

Where love lives forever.

A soft warm breeze fills the air.

I see blue skies everywhere.

I’m glad to see old friends.

Warm wishes each one sends.

I wish you could be here too,

But you have things to do.

I had to come first to see.

That’s the way it was meant to be.

No need for a long good-bye,

Mommy,

The Angels brought me here,

God has work for you,

Now you play in heaven's playground,

How all the Angels loved you so!

To ease the suffering.

Loss is hard to handle,

And never goes away.

But a heart is very special,

A life that touched so many,

As Mamma walked through the gate.

My Daddy was even cryin,

He no longer has to wait.

After he left, she dreamed of tomorrow,

When they'd walk hand in hand forever.

But now they are together.

I know my Mamma's happy,

She finally found her way.

When God's grace set her free,

Her tomorrow came today.

Now my Daddy holds her,

And he'll never let her go.

They're just the way they were,

Not so long ago.

 The Memory of Grandma’s Love

Grandma always held my heart,

Right from the very start.

Her arms were open wide.

She had the safest place to hide.

Inside of Grandma’s hug,

I was safe and snug.

Then trouble disappeared.

Because she loved me.

Grandma wiped my tears,

And chased away my fears.

If you’re lost it won’t matter,

If love could undo a wrong,

The choices that you made,

Caused you to rest where you were laid.

You were young and didn’t know,

We’d lose you and miss you so.

So God reached out His mighty hand.

You’re finally safe from earthly harms,

Wrapped up in God’s loving arms.

Although I miss you everyday,

I know heavens where you’ll stay.

Wrapped In Angel Arms

The Angel was waiting,

Time was so near.

Then without hesitating,

The Angel was clear,

Who had been chosen,

To make this journey.

For God's own reason,

The Angel could see.

So tiny, so special,

While they lay sleeping.

God sent His Angel,

For the final blessing.

Wrapped in Angel Arms,

Sheltered beneath their wings,

Far from earthly harms,

The Angel softly sings

Beginning their sacred journey,

To the Promised Land.

The Angel acted faithfully,

To God's each command.
