Forever Friends 

Words could never tell you,

How important you’ll always be.

Just little things that you do,

That are especially meant for me.

You always seem to remember,

All the things to do.

That make friends last forever,

And share a bond so true.

I’m glad God gave to me,

 Someone just like you.

He knew that you would be,

One of the chosen few!

To make our friendship grow,

And brighten up my day.

I know that I am lucky,

Someone I know is very special,

They don't even have a clue,

Others think they're an earthly Angel,

And that someone dear is you.

You're always there in time of need,

With a heart that understands.

Each time you offer a helping hand.

Just who admires you.

None of us will ever confess,

 We all found a friend so true!

So as you go about your day,

Spreading kindness everywhere,

One day without asking,

A miracle did happen,

When you became a blessing,

Like an Angel sent from heaven.

I’m thankful for that day,

And the friendship that we found.

You always know just what to say,

And when to be around.

You never run from trouble,

You come running with open arms,

Nothing is ever too much to handle,

Because of your Angel charms.

So I want to thank you,

From the bottom of my heart.

I know one thing is true,

I look back through the years,

Beyond the laughter and the tears.

Many friends they come and go,

With you it wasn't so.

You stood there to cheer me on,

Held my hand when hope was gone.

We've shared sunshine and the rain,

Shared the laughter and the pain.

Together through so many things,

I feel so very, very lucky,

The kindness that you give away,

Tender words you chose to say,

To comfort someone’s broken heart,

Makes you an Angel’s work of art.

God touches people with Angel’s love.

He sends peace on the wings of a dove.

I know that you’ve followed His word,

Just from the loving things I’ve heard.

You’re always there in time of need,

And always planting love’s seed.

I’m glad He made an Angel out of you,

And gave me your friendship so true.

 If I Could Be An Angel

If I could be an Angel,

I know just what I'd do.

I would guard someone special,

Someone just like you.

I'd be the friend you need,

Anytime day or night.

When you need someone to lead,

I'd guide you with my light.

And if you began to stumble,

I'd reach out my hand to you.

I'd help with all your trouble,

And take away your sorrow too.

But since I'm not an Angel,

By your side I'll stand.
